NJR Management Feedback
NJR Management Feedback presents healthcare provider management with key indicators of their hospitals' performance in joint replacement. It is based on NJR data and is presented in an Annual Clinical Report for the most recent financial year covering:
- Indicators of data quality through rates of compliance, patient consent and linkability
- Hip and knee replacement outcomes data (Funnel plots) for revision for all units and (anonymised) surgeons across procedure types
- Hip and knee replacement outcomes data (Funnel plots) for mortality for all units
This report also now includes, from 2014, separate analysis of revision rates for primary hip replacements excluding withdrawn implants. The withdrawn implants for exclusion must have been notified to the MHRA as a Level 1 outlier and withdrawn from the market for a minimum of three years. There are three excluded devices which are all in the metal-on-metal category (ASR, Ultima TS and R3).
Accessing the service
One user per healthcare provider (Trust, Health Board, Company) can register to access NJR Management Feedback. The NJR recommends that the organisation CEO nominates an authorised user in order to access the system and download the Annual Clinical Report. In many cases, this is the Medical Director or Clinical Director for Orthopaedics.
Registration is online, but you will need to wait for your registration to be approved by the NJR Centre. This approval process exists to ensure that only legitimate users may access sensitive data about each healthcare provider.
