Benefits of the NJR’s work

Over the past twenty-three years, the NJR has developed important tools and reporting systems for orthopaedic surgery, which have enabled considerable health benefits to patients undergoing surgery and to wider society, by helping to deliver enhanced patient safety and in improving surgical outcomes.

We have reviewed and profiled the benefits of our work, for hospitals, surgeons, patients, health service regulators, manufacturers and policymakers.

These benefits have been shared in a series of articles published in the Journal of Trauma and Orthopedics.

A summary of benefits dedicated mini-website has been created and shared with senior staff in all NHS and independent sector hospitals.
