NJR Quality Data Provider Scheme – Audit Period 2020/21

The National Joint Registry (NJR) Quality Data Provider scheme continues to offer both NHS and independent sector hospitals public recognition for delivering excellent engagement with the registry, to support patient safety and to help enhance the quality of services. Hospitals can achieve award status through their compliance with the NJR’s mandatory data quality audit process and certificates are awarded to those hospitals who have successfully met their targets.

To gain Quality Data Provider (QDP) status for 2021/22, hospitals are required to meet the targets set for best practice; increase engagement and awareness of the importance of complete data collection; and to embed the ethos that high-quality data ultimately enables the NJR to support improvement in patient outcomes. Hospitals will be awarded the NJR Quality Data Provider Certificate for 2021/22 if they have achieved the NJR target criteria, by the deadlines set.

If hospitals are successful, the NJR award emblem will also be placed on their hospital dashboard page on the NJR’s Surgeon and Hospital Profile website, at www.njrsurgeonhospitalprofile.org.uk. The website displays orthopaedic performance data, which is refreshed and published on an annual basis, for hospitals where any joint replacement operations are carried out in the geographical areas where the NJR is operational. The award emblem can also be placed on a successful hospital’s website to promote their achievement to patients and the public.
