NJR surgeon and hospital data being refreshed in the New Year
The National Joint Registry's Surgeon and Hospital Profile website will be updated on in the first quarter of 2020, with latest clinical outcomes publication data. You will be able to explore the refreshed data via: www.njrsurgeonhospitalprofile.org.uk.
More details on the COP Programme can be found in the menu on the Quick Links side bar.
The NJR's Surgeon and Hospital Profile enables patients, their friends, family and carers to view surgeon and hospital specific data and make comparisons between hospitals in their local area. This is intended to help patients find information to help them make decisions about their care and their surgery.
The data currently displayed is the 2017/18 round of orthopaedic clinical outcomes publication (COP) – an ongoing part of NHS England's transparency agenda.
The NHS England initiative encourages joint replacement patients to seek out this information in advance of surgery so that they are able to discuss it with the surgeon and get a full picture of his or her practice in the context of the care delivered by the whole healthcare team at the hospital. The data will no longer be published via NHS Choices.
