NJR Surgeon and Hospital Outcomes Publication
This page is the National Joint Registry's main hub of information about the plans for surgeon and hospital outcomes publication each year.
The NJR continues to work closely with lead specialty association, the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), alongside other specialist orthopaedic societies to agree the plan for publication and ensure that the development of the surgeon profiles on the NJR website https://surgeonprofile.njrcentre.org.uk/ are accurately representing outcomes, for the benefit of patients and the wider public.
All consultant orthopaedic surgeons in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the States of Guernsey, who have carried out a hip/knee/ankle/elbow/shoulder joint replacement procedure in any hospital during the most recent three financial years, from 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2020, are included for publication.
The outcome results for 2020 will be published in January 2021 and will be available here:

Updating Surgeon Profile Information
Clinicians are encouraged to add/update their profile information prior to publication to identify any specialist areas of practice and membership(s) of professional bodies.
Consultant surgeons always have the opportunity to add additional profile information, prior to publication, to identify specialist areas of practice and membership(s) of professional bodies.
For any consultant wishing to see how this profile area displays, please visit https://surgeonprofile.njrcentre.org.uk/ and review the profile of Timothy Wilton, NJR Medical Director.
